Tullibardine 500 Sherry Cask 70clTullibardine 500 sherry cask refers to the size of the cask used, in this case a sherry butt which holds 500 litres. The whisky was matured in ex bourbon casks then finish in sherry butts. This gives it a lovely dark rich brown colour, with hints of toffee and apples with ceral notes. On the palate is is rich with vanilla and toffee abound with dates and spice.

This composer has written an amazing piece of music.
I like how an ancient setting coupled with a new style of composing can produce something so very special. The composer is very creative, and the artists do his work justice. A serious-minded classisist will love this DVD.

Good content but not great for Kindle

Solid writing with not-many editorial issues (rare these days so overall, that’s a thumbs up). Lots of links that take you to other pages, but in both a kindle and the kindle iOS app, you won’t find a way back to the original page, which is infuriating. Not super happy with the black-and-white photos, either.

More than a bit dry, but worth reading
Format: Hardcover
Nice, fresh look at Carthage. It can be a touch dry and in some places hard to read but worth the effort. Most histories of Carthage start and stop with the Punic Wars, this is a much more expansive look at Carthaginian and Phoenician history. Given its scope I would have expected a much larger book but Carthage was destroyed and along with it, so too was its history.
