Using the ancient Korean technique of keum bo, I have fused 24k gold to the surface of sterling silver and then oxidized it for contrast. The contrast of the rich 24k gold color against the softly oxidized and textured sterling silver is lovely. A variety of textures and geometric shapes play well together in this balances but yet asymmetrical design. The end result is
